Student Academic Resources

Academic Resources are a number of services and programs that supports students’ academic and intellectual engagement and to help them take full advantage of the curriculum. 

Students have 24/7 access to high-quality academic and high-interest applications through Launch. Students can access http://launch.ocps.net from any computer to enjoy programs including:
  • Typing Club - learn proper keyboarding skills
  • i-Ready - reading and math instruction.  Students should earn 46 minutes in their reading and math lessons each week.
  • Follett Destiny Discover - check out and read e-books and put holds on popular books
  • MyOn - eBooks
  • ChessKid - develop chess playing skills
  • Canvas - access digital classrooms as set up by teachers

Reflex Math Problem Fluency
The app is great as an intervention for students who are having difficulty with basic fact fluency in math. Students are given access either during whole class computer time as a follow up or menu item, given opportunities at recess, or cycled through classroom tech a few students at a time.
